My Time: Widening and increasing participation of hard to reach learners through provision at the interface of education and primary health care
This study examined the value and effectiveness of a combination of Western art-based therapeutic methods, Morita therapy (a Japnese psychotherapy programme) and the pastoral cycle (a church-based reflection and action programme) in a psycho-educational programme for women suffering from low self-esteem and depression in rural South Staffordshire.
The My Time programme was born out of this research and the study into successful women’s programmes as well as a consultation of local organisations involved in all aspects of an individual’s life (housing, parenting, financial, health, relationship, beliefs and values)
